Best Known as 'Ariel" from WWE's ECW brand on Tuesday nights. Shelly Martines does make appearences in TNA (Total Non-stop Action Wrestling) every now and then under the name "salinas" as part of the faction LAX (Latin American Exchange). We managed to get an interview with the "sexy vampire"
Shelly took the hard way to get into the wrestling business. She actually worked for it. Here is what she told us about how she got into WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) "I got into modeling and acting always chatting about how much I love wrestling and a casting director casted me in an independent film about wrestling. They use indie wrestlers and I got to talking to them and found out where to go locally for a wrestling school. I trained there for a few years then started doing the independent wrestling scene. My friend asked me one day "why aren't you in WWE?" I told him I wanted to that is/was my goal. He put in a phone call and a few days later I got a call from Johnny Ace and they looked at me for about a year and a half and then I got signed to a developmental deal. I was in Kentucky where their developmental school OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling) was and I was there for about close to two years then I went on to ECW (Extream Championship Wrestling)."
It's always good to have friends with connections. She worked as a valet/manager while she was with WWE. To my knowledge she was released from WWE because the writters didn't know what to do with her. (happens alot in that company) We asked her if she'd ever consider returning to WWE. Ofcourse she said yes.
Many of the WWE Divas have kissed before in storylines, so we asked her if she was given a choice to kiss any of the divas, who would she choose? She said Melina and eventhough TNA hasn't had any of the Knockouts kiss (with the exception of Goldylocks and Trinity) we thought we'd ask anyway. Shelly chose Ms. Brooks. We can only hope.
